I ordered the free sample of Enzyte for my husband. Nothing arrived. I went to their website and could not locate any contact information to call them about the problem. I finally received the product on 7/1/04. On 7/6/04, I received a 60 day supply and and credit card was charged $69.99 for it.

When the free sample was ordered, it was supposed to be a 30 day trail. If you were not happy before the end of the trail you could cancel your next order. We didn't get to try the product!

When I called them on 7/7/04 to complain, I was told it was my fault for not contacting them to tell them that the shippment was not received.

After talking to them, I searched the website again. I found a phone number under returns. That is the only place I found any contact information. I did not have the product to return, so I did not think to look there when I did not receive the free trail.

After talking to them at length, I was told it was my own fault and they would not do anything about it. I will be reporting to the BBB. I am also a resident of the Cincinnati area where the company is located. I am looking for others with complaints so that I can contact the local news crew for their consumer complaints segment.

Beware of Berkely Nutraceuticals!

How to get your money back

Julie,
Call your credit card company and dispute the charges. This will open a case and they will fight on your behalf. They will usually credit your account rather quickly. If you have a Visa or Mastercard logo, you have buyers protection built into your card, even if it is a check card.

Now, if for some reason that did not work and you are still being shafted, you can do this. Contact your doctor and get a letter stating that you are not able to take the product. Claim some kind of reaction of allergy. THen call Customer Care and tell them that the product is making you sick and you can not take it. They will tell you to get a letter from your doctor. Agree to it and get the FAX number. Fax it in ASAP. Make sure you include your name and other info.

Once that fax comes in, it is handled by a team that handles credits. When they get a letter from a doctor, they credit at least 90% of the accounts. It is the ONLY reason that they allow a credit to be issued for shipments that have already gone out. Wether or not it was your fault or theirs. They claim no responsibility.

That should help you get a credit to your account. It usually takes about 30 days to show on your account.

Heck, I once had a customer that had been charged 3 charges over 6 months and never got any product. Wether of not he was lying, I do not know, but they refused to credit him as well. That is the kind of people you are dealing with.

Sorry that I am one of them, but at least I can give you a helping hand outside of work.

Hope this helps.
