Aspen Dental antibiotic injection scam lima, Ohio
My wife and I set up an apointment with aspen dental over the phone for a simple teeth cleaning and check up. After the x-ray's/check up they gave us each a list of possible future issues we could be facing if not addressed at this time, all stupid stuff, we had no cavities at all. We told them no thank you and to please proceed to our scheduled teeth cleaning.
The office manager told us that they could not clean our teeth without injecting our gums with antibiotics, which our insurance did not cover and the cost was going to be $3000.00. They refused to clean our teeth that we had scheduled for. Do not go to these greedy money hungry business people. All they want is your money. It is a crying shame that car salesman have worked their way into the health industry....

Yep sounds like a scam to me - I had gum disease and never once was told I had to have antibiotics injected into my gums for a cleaning. Go see a real dentist and tell them to stuff it.

Just rinse your mouth with water and hydrogen peroxide in a half and half ratio. A dental hygeinist told me about this. Hydrogen peroxide, which you can buy at Walmart, Dollar Store, etc. kills both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
Too many dentists are coming up with creative ways to get you to spend all your money--including destroying your perfectly healthy teeth to force you to buy new fake ones. Seems the general dentist is a dinosaur.
