Aspen Dental attempts to sell unnecessary services at exorbitant prices. Lady Lake Lake
I went here for the first time and had 3 cavities filled. The dentist hit a nerve which affected the vision in my left eye. The vision eventually returned, but I may have permanent nerve damage. My cheek and eye have been twitching ever since.
That is not even the biggest complaint. The lies they told me to make more money is what really has me mad. I was told that I had serious periodontal disease (despite the fact that I have light pink, healthy gums) and that before they could do the crown that I needed, I would have to pay $1052.00 for cleaning and scaling. I did not believe this was necessary, so I visited another dentist 2 weeks later. The hygienist told me I had the cleanest teeth he had ever seen - virtually no calculus. The hygienist and dentist were shocked to hear that I was told I needed cleaning and scaling.
Aspen Dental was aware that I was a cash paying customer with no income at the moment. If they would pull something like this on me, imagine what they are getting from insurance companies through their fraud and deceptive practices. What they charged to fill the cavities is higher than other places in the area and not what they advertise online. They also made me pay in advance which I found extemely strange and unprofessional.
