Called to verify that they were insurance providers before making appointment.  They assured me that they were.  After the exam, they gave me a treatment plan that totalled over $1300 for my daughter and said I had to prepay $375 for her next appointment.  Went to next appointment and they said they needed an extra $50.  I asked why and they said "I don't know.  You'll have to talk to your insurance company."

The appointment time was 3:00.  We didn't get done until 6.  After the appoinment, the dentist said she found even more cavities and the new treatment plan would now be $1800. 

My husband also went with a huge knot on his jaw from a painful and obviously infected tooth.  They examined him and said that he needed some kind of bone treatment and they wouldn't fix his painful tooth until he got the other done...which totalled over $4000.

I started investigating and found out that Aspen Dental isn't even a provider for our insurance and they didn't disclose this even though I asked.  I found a dentist in our network and the cost for my daughter's treatment is only $111!!!!!!
