We had the same experience.  Our computer was frozen.  The computer screen showed us a message that promised us if we called the noted phone number, they could fix our problem.  They also identified themselves as Microsoft people.  We felt safe because of that.  The person I talked to had an Indian accent.  That surprised us, being from Microsoft and all.

 

We were told that our computer would be fixed and after that, we could call them anytime to fix whatever problem we had.

 

All we had to do was pay $212.49.  Needless to say, we got nothing for our money.  

 

I wish there were some way we could get some satisfaction.  Thanks for what you do.
