Complaint Review:
Aspire Promotions
Do not work for Aspire Promotions you will regret it. I know it seems like a great opportunity and well lets face it who wouldn't want to work in a fun environment with a young cool boss.
Before you waste your time on a second interview that lasts all day that you don't get payed for let me give you some facts.
1. They promise lots of money when your done the training program.... I'm sorry but there's no way to make 75 thousand a year working here.
-If you did how come the owner lives in Highfield park AKA the getto.
-Why does he drive a sh*tty old car
-because it's a lie I bet he's barley getting by.
2. You'll be working 6 days a week and long hours.
-if you miss a saturday they make you feel guilty.
-the hours are long and you don't even make minimum wage
-your always on road trips
thats where they send you to a new territory to sell sell sell... it bites cause you miss out on so much
3. you get payed commission just 35% of what you sell.
-so the average your expected to sell is 300 a day most people dont do that unless there on a road trip and in town when your in teams it gets split in half.
-when you train someone it yes gets split to half just 17.5% what is that
-some people will work 6 days and make like 150$$$ how is this right.
4. There's no compensation for Gas
- you often have to drive to places is like Bridgewater and Truro and they don't compensate you for the gas.
-People spend sometimes more on Gas then they make and the owner Dani thinks it's cool just to toss them a 20... so not right.
-Also on these week long road trips you must provide your own meals and gas... how is this a business trip???
5. They don't take taxes off your pay or CPP or EI
- this doesn't seem legit does it.
-you will end up paying through the nose at the end of the year.
6. The owner himself is a good enough reason not to be there.
He seems very professional, successful, young and cool like he has his sh*t together but don't let that fool ya.
He pulls you in with friendship and promises of success and money. In turn once you get to know him you will see he's not all that.
He's a drug addict that is always High. Always smoking marijuana with his sales staff.
The whole office is filled with Pot heads... and they think they will be successful
He barley works cause he's always high or hung over from partying.
He pretty much runs a w***e house out of his office seeing who he can f*ck...
If you listen to how he talks about women he's a pig.
I know for a fact he was f*cking his assistant for months till people started to find out and he fired her. COLD!!!!! Not to mention I heard a crazy rumor she's pregnant. Maybe that's why he fired her.
Anyways so unethical
He claims that 20% goes to the charity they work with, the DARE program. yet they are always having there tables shut down by the RCMP for not being legit. Then claims it's a communication issue to the reps...
But if you wanna go see for yourself go ahead. You will end up at a table selling junk at a sobeys or walmart that no one wants for a charity. you wont make any money, you'll never get to management. You'll miss out on family events, time with the significant other, you'll even miss out on time for your self. At the end of it you will wonder why you were even there or how they managed to lock you in so good and fast. After all there's a reason why they are always hiring?
Good luck potential job seekers

A big thank you to the original writer of the first report!
I am a current university student looking for a full time temp. position. Aspire Promotions seemed to provide just that! The job posting that I stumbled upon was posted on Monster.ca and it just seemed too good to be true. I tried to send in my resume but found that the site was under construction. From that moment on, I was skeptical.
My skepticism brought me to do a little research on the company (something I suggest everyone do on any company they are applying to and have little or no knowledge of) and brought me to this site and this specific report. So I read, and I thought ''this must be slander from an ex employee that got bumped down a peg or written off'' and although the grammar and spelling of the original report's author is in question (as is mine I imagine), I heeded his warning and dug deeper. I found a little something called ''Quantum''.
2 phrase description: Quantum is a marketing company that functions near identically to this one located in the states. They have many branch offices under different names.
Insert common rebuttal : ''Most all company's similar to this share a common ordinal flow chart, what's your point?''
My point would be that Quantum has been the butt of so much bad PR over the years it would take someone a few weeks just to sift through it all. I read some of the reports and found very common theme's and occurrences and decided to make a second call back to the company. I was baffled that the person I was corresponding with was able to provide me with so little insight regarding job description. She had told me that she was just the one setting up the interviews but she informed me that the job was purely event based. Fair enough I thought...
It occurred to me then to inquire about Quantum, if they had any affiliation or if she had ever heard of them. She had said they had no affiliation with them and that she had never heard of them. She instead told me that they had affiliation and were promoting DARE products and others (not the affiliation I was referring too, but hey, she was nice, polite and trying to help) Fair enough I thought...
WAIT WWWWHHHHHHAAATTTTT?!?!?!
Alarms went off in my head....common theme......yes.....DARE......
Not to be insulting the original author, but I didn't believe a thing you posted. Until I searched up other sites and read other reviews. They all had the same things to say.....6 day weeks, long hours, no money for gas, little pay, selling things at tables in front of Sobeys and Walmart and having them shut down by police... of course there was more as well.
As for the rest of what was written by the original report's author, I have no comment. I did not work there after all, but I was interested too. Needless to say I withdrew my candidacy and thought to write my afternoon events for everyone to read.
PLEASE NOTE
This is not an attack on the company, I am not saying they have direct affiliation with Quantum, I have no quarrel with them. I am just pointing out that their methods, descriptions and employee reviews are very similar. I personally found my dealings with the person over the phone quite enjoyable, professional and friendly. This was written with the sole purpose of informing potential applicants of my discoveries, so that they can do they're own research and come to their own conclusion on whether they would like to proceed.
Please pardon any spelling and grammar faults, I have not had many opportunities to practice the English written language.
Here are some sites that I picked at random since I closed my tabs and my browser erases my history automatically, I just did a quick search and copy pasted. These are just to p***k your curiosity ,to show that I am not just blowing smoke and that there is basis.

United States of AmericaAspire Promotions is a GREAT place to work! The above allegations are ridiculious lies!

The above allegations against Aspire Promotions, it's owner, and it's employees are absolute ridiculous slander. The report was written by a bitter employee (who we all know) who was not successful within the company and is now hellbent on hurting everyone who works here. I mean, take a look at the grammar and spelling alone, is this someone you would rely on as a credible source?
I started working for Aspire 8 months ago. I love it here for many reasons, mostly the people. They are NOT a bunch of stupid druggies, nor is our boss. The guy hasn't even taken a sick day since I started working here. This is not a w***e house (pretty interesting allegation for an office whose employees are more than 2/3 male). It is a group of young, ambitious, hard-working individuals who see opportunity and are willing to work for it.
Some of the clients we represent are children's charities, one being an anti-drug campaign. We work with the local police and R.C.M.P. to help raise awareness and funds for these important causes. Think about it, if we were not legit, would we not just be shut down? In the 8 months I've worked here I have never heard of one of our tables being shut down by the police because we are not paying the charity their dues. In fact, I was present for a meeting with one of our clients just the other day who was ecstatic over the money we had raised this year.
Because of our success with the clients we already have, we have just signed a new client. This means that one of our marketing representatives was promoted to management. This means that he will now be incorporated and own his own marketing firm at the age of 22. His expected annual income for the first year IS $75,000. It is up to him if he wants to put it all in his pocket, or invest some back into the business to open more offices under him like our current manager has done. The sky is the limit here.
We have offices all over the US, hundreds of them, and many people in their early to mid twenties who have worked there for only a couple of years with salaries that I've never even dreamed of. (I've met two of them so far, they came to visit our office to network). Because the company is quite new to Canada, we are always networking with office in the US to try to better ourselves to reach our full potential. It's all a matter of what you're willing to put in and how hard you're willing to work. The opportunity to work from the bottom to the top in an extremely of short period of time is there if you do the right things and are smart about it. (Which the person who wrote the report in question was not.)
As for the money, many of the positions in the company have performance based pay. This means that if you work hard and do the right things, you will make a great paycheck. If you are lazy and don't try, you won't, and you will move on and find something else to do for a living. There are people in this office who make an AVERAGE of $850/week, and others who make $200 (and obviously those people and Aspire choose to go their separate ways because event marketing isn't for them). There absolutely is compensation for gas. Also, I just filed my taxes last week and got a big return, so that's another lie.
And to clear it up, our former admin assistant is absolutely NOT pregnant. She left the province to go back to where her family is for health reasons. She quit, she did not get fired. And is absolutely not pregnant with her former boss's child. (I had a good laugh when I read that one.)
The bottom line, if you apply for a job with this company, come see for yourself. An interview takes 15 minutes of your time. Make your own choice, see if this opportunity speaks to you. Use your brain instead of just taking someone's word for it, who, by the way, can barely type a proper sentence without slaying the English language completely.

Hey guys, after doing some more research you all need to check this out. The VP of this organization has all kinds of reports written up claiming the company is nothing but a scam as well.
Just Google his name or search it here its Keith Certo We had to sit through conference calls with this guy going on and on every Saturday and never got a penny for it
But go on and check it out it will give you a lot more insight then I can. After reading those reports I'm so happy I'm free and clear of these scammers.
