I was "out of the blue" sent a letter that my account no longer existed with no reason why back in November 2008. I called Aspire to find out why and they said, "you didn't do anything wrong, the company went belly-up" and those were the exact words the woman said to me. I've been with Aspire Visa for quite awhile, never missed a payment nor was I ever late with a payment. I cancelled "Cardsafe" and low and behold the fee's were still deducted on my statement. I kept calling "Cardsafe" 1-800-442-0752 and hopefully my last call took it off the account. However, The account does not exist when I call Aspire.

This has been a nightmare. I didn't get a statement in January, but just got a Feb. 2009 statement and there is a $35.00 late fee for January, I can't believe this. I wrote a letter to "disputes" today about this $35.00 late fee for a Jan. payment I never got a statement for. I should have known it had to be paid, but shame on me for not checking to make sure all my monthly statements had arrived in Jan.. This is the first time I have ever had this happen with Aspire.

I just happened to go on line and look for the Aspire site and I can't believe what popped up when I went searching. This is obviously a very bad situation going on with Aspire and I copied everything I could to send to the Connecticut Attorney General's office. I am involved in a scam with hundreds of others it seems with this Aspire and I'm in a state of shock over this. Aspire is obviously doing many illegal things and I was not even aware this was going on. I hope I'm not wasting my time mailing the letter to Aspire "disputes" about the $35 late fee when I never got a statement. Just reading whats been going on with many others vs Aspire is making me sick. Does the Federal Banking Commission know what Aspire is doing to people?
