In Febuary my account with Aspire Visa became past due. On March 1st, 2004 I received an official letter from Aspire offering what they call "Aspire Pay Assist Program". What their letter stated was that I had the three following options to accept this promotion and bring my account current.
1. pay the total amount due by March 19th, 2004 or
2. Make three times the current minimum payment by March 19th, 2004, or
3. Make your minimum payment by the payment date for 3 consecutive months with your first payment due by March 19, 2004.

At the bottom of this letter they had written a post script (p.s.) which stated; "Reduce your monthly payments! Simply call the toll free number to make your payment OR return the reply form below."

Well here's the rip-off. I chose the first option and mailed out my check with THEIR form as stated on March 12, 2004. For the past two days, Aspire has been calling me to state that since I mailed the payment I am not eligiable for the promotion although there official letter cleary states call or mail your response. As others here have stated, when you call Aspire you get some non-english speaking idiot from India who has no idea of what your talking about. I fully intend to make my complaint to the BBB and seek any and all legal action against ASPIRE.

Aspire Folds after government pressure

Thinking it would do me no good (wrong) I took my case to the Attorney Generals of Florida and George. I also forward all my correspondence to these agencies to Aspire so they could see I was not giving up. I received a response from both AGs and within 1 week of those I got a letter from Aspire stating that although (yes right) they had never received my signed correspondence they would begin honoring the 0 percent interest they had offered. Scan or cut and paste all your correspondence and forward it to Aspire to let them know you are keep records on them and that the same information is being given to lawyers and Attorney Generals and they will give in. Nothing better then keeps copies of all your paperwork.

GO GET EM - take down Aspire
