I initially opened an acount with Aspire Visa to establish credit but less than a year later I was laid off and got behind on my bills. My balance soared over my initial credit limit without me spending a dime and then they started to hit me with more and more bogus fees the higher it got. Without dwelling on Aspire's incredibly aggressive and degrading attempts to collect I struck a deal with them to close the account and pay back the balance with a set monthly payment if they agreed not to charge any more interest or pile on any more fees.

Every statement I have received from them since then has late fees, finance charges, over the limit fees and the minimum payment never relects our agreement. Then I noticed that they have hit me with a 35% APR. If I send them the agreed amount the next statement will say I didn't send enough and pile more charges on yet when I pull up my account on their website it asks for the amount we agreed. If I send the mimnimum payment they still pile on late charges. It is not possible to speak to a CSR on the phone, but they sure can call you if they want to. Any attempts you make to get customer service by email is a complete waste of time. They charge you at least $15 to make an online payment before they tell you it won't post for 2 days which defeats the purpose of it and allows them to hit you with another $35 late fee. These people are out of control and need to be stopped.
