First, a bit of background: I have worked in the computer networking field for 5 years. I have heard about Aspreon Technologies via radio and television advertising. They claim to offer training no matter what your skill level.

I enrolled in Aspreon's class to attain my CCIE certification. I went to the Cisco routing class only to find that the instructor was fresh out of college, and the only reason he was an instructor was because he had just went through the course and was waiting to take the CCIE lab. There were several times in the class where he simply didn't know the answers to even simple questions that were asked - not by me, but by the other students.

I chalked this up to the instructor's relative inexperience - he seemed like a nice enough guy, and I was willing to give this class a pass, as I already knew quite a bit about how Cisco routers work.

The next instructor made the first look like Steven Hawking at a freshman-level astronomy class. The second instructor has absolutely no clue about Cisco switching, and when it came time for the hardware lab, he made us waste 3 hours on a lab that wouldn't work because he had configured it incorrectly.

When I asked for a refund for the balance of the tuition (total tuition was $19,995) I was told that Aspreon has a "no refund" policy. Too bad no one told me - I would never have signed up.

A BB complaint results in the same response. And, as they had me sign a binding arbitration agreement, my next and only recourse is to go to arbitration. BEWARE THE PIE IN THE SKY!!
