Asset Acceptance called to tell me they were hire by Blair to collect $200 dollars, for a bill that was a write off I included in my bankruptcy. I explained that to them. but their fast talker who would only call herself linda said IT DID'NT Excuse Me. I set up bank draft from my account for the twenty fourth of each for $25 dollars a month. three days before time i would get a letter stating they would do a draft. when ever I Called To ask About a Balance. i get a different quote and never a reciept that shows I paid. bright Ms linda said I get one after the balance paid. then I Noticed theY draft money out of my account early then set up date, then late sometimes twice last month I got a letter saying they would be taking $7.99 out of my account after seven hundred dollars later I though it was over until I got another letter saying I owe & 68.00 more dollars. I can pay it when i get it I dont understand they did'nt draft money out the account like all the rest they stole. and ms linda informed me if i did'nt pay it interest was next.

Annie,

All you had to do was inform them in writing that this debt was included in bankruptcy.

There is nothing they could do but get pissed and hang up.

It is ILLEGAL for a collection agency to collect on a debt that was part of a bankruptcy.

Im sorry to hear they took advantage of you and intimidated you into making a payment.

FYI...NEVER even talk to ANY third party debt collector! And really NEVER give them any of your banking info, especially over the phone!!

These people will rob you!

Now it is too late, as you have re-affirmed the debt and it is now legally collectable!

Third party debt collectors and junk debt buyers are absolutely powerless to do anything to you.

They are a joke at best. They are the scum of the earth. They will lie and cheat and steal as needed to collect from you.

File a complaint with the FTC online.

Go to BudHibbs.com and learn about these thieves and liars, and the collection and debt buying industry in general. Very informative.
