Asset Acceptance ripoff I am being SUED Brandon Florida
I was served papers by the court to appear in court this month, because Asset Acceptance LLC is sueing me! They said it was for a charge from a credit card company. They said the charge they are collecting for is for a fitness membership. Well, I am shocked! Because I never walked into this fitness center, ever! I have no idea what they are talking about. I called this fitness ctr and gave them my information but they could not find me, nor the credit card that is was suppose to be paid with. I never sign up with them.
Come to find out, someone had to of stole my identify and went to this fitness ctr and sign up with this credit card. I have been talking with LLC over the past few days and told them this was not me, they will not listen. I asked them to produce any paperwork with my signature, but they can't. If they could, they would see that they have the wrong person., The fitness ctr will not provide me with anything stating I was never a member, becasue since I am getting sued now they will not touch it. I have asked LLC for my signature, which they shoud have, but they don't even have that. I just rec'd a letter from LLC today, about reducing the amount owed to settle the claim.
This letter came after my court papers which were served on Jan 24th. I am so stressed over this, I do not know what to do. I have missed two days of work because I have been so upset and my blood presure is so high that it has caused me to be out of work. If anyone has any input it would be appreciated!

Hello,
I am here to tell you how my appearance in court went. I went to court and a Lawyer from Asset Accept was present. The Judge, said tho the Lawyer how can you sue this woman if you don't have anything on her. the Judge said it has to go to a trail, so it was rescheduled. I called Lawyers and they told me I need to hire them becuase Asset is a big company and I was going to lose. I told them I would take my chances. Listen, I was not guility as that company said I was, the company knew they did not have anything on me. I walked into the court room with the honest "truth", truth was the only thing I had. I had lots of people praying for me and I walked in the court room thinking "the truth will set me free" well I waited for 3 1/2 wks for my letter to go back to court to fight them by myself, and to my surprise yesterday I rec'd a letter from Asset Acceptance stating that they are going to drop it! Amazing how things turn out. They had nothing on me. Thanks for listening. And if you become a vitim like myself, and you are truly innocent, fight to the end and the "truth will set you free also"

Let them sue you and be sure you show up in court org et an attorney. Then they will HAVE to prove that it is you who owes the money. The reason they offered tos ettle, is because they know that if you do go to court, they will loose. Do not let them win. Good luck.
