Asset Acceptance is trying to collect on a credit card that I never had. One day I just started receiving collection notices. The balance has nearly doubled in amount since I started getting them. They refuse to provide me with any documentation that proves this is my debt. They are completely dishonest and are taking advantage of countless people. I cannot believe this is a publicly traded company (AACC) and this goes on. From research on the internet I have included that I am not the only one. I think a lawyer needs to take this on as a class action suit and take them down. They are defrauding millions of Americans and ruining lives.

Candace,

Send the DEBT VALIDATION letter as per your rights under the FDCPA. Clearly dispute the debt and DEMAND to see something you allegedly signed to create the debt, as well as an account history as you need to determine what state you allegedly signed the agreement in to determine statute of limitations.

Send this by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself, and keep a copy for your records.

You will most likely not hear from them again.
