Associa Hawaii Is being given two business days to rectify or problem or you'll be fined 100 more dollars not a bit excessive? Kapolei Hawaii
On August 25th, I received a letter informing me that I'd been fined 100 dollars for a grease stain in my parking stall by Associa Hawaii. I had tried very hard three separate times to remove the stain by scrubbing it with a wire brush, dumping sand on it and sweeping it up. Although the stain was smaller it was still visible, I explained this to my compliance inspector (CCI) two to three times, but she has too many properties to manage to remember individual customers. The letter basically said that if my stain was not cleaned by August 31st (exactly 2 business days) I'd be fined another 100 dollars.
I called Associa Hawaii eight times on August 26th but could not get through to anybody. They even have this fake complaint (press 7) which just loops around to the original menu. Eventually, I got this really rude Vice President on the phone named Irene who raised her voice at me and was rude and placating.
"In the first place," she informed me.
I explained to her that this was the seventh person that I had talked to and can you please not yell at me.
She explained that she wasn't yelling and when she did yell I'd know. I got the feeling she didn't want to help me at all.
When I informed her that she also had not heard me yell, she promptly hung up on me.
I feel giving a tenant two business days to fix a problem or I'm fined another 100 dollars especially after I've already told the inspector the problem is excessive. This corporation seems to always want to fine you, but never give you service when you need help. You can't even speak to a live representative most of the time. I feel this is a rip off and I don't want to move but I feel like this company doesn't cares about the little guy.
