Everything that the others have written about has happened to me. The offer received via fax, the "activation" fee, finding out that the benefits weren't at all what was described over the phone, then waiting two months to get a medical card, ALR assuring me that my doctor is on the list of providers, etc.

I started to get suspicious when I just received a $135 bill from my OB/GYN stating that they do not accept "ALR" and have never heard of them. I started my research and found this website. Of course, I found no website for ALR.

Additionally, the info they put on my medical card stated an effective date of March 1, 2009, even though I've been paying since January. When I called about this the girl's response was "don't worry about it."

I'm absolutely disgusted with this company. I can't believe I've wasted all of this money so far. How dishonest and disgraceful can one be?

Sincerely,
Jessica
