I was contacted by this company by fax and being the only employee with my company I needed insurance. I talked to the sales guy on the phone and he told me that they could get me covered for a one time fee of $125.00 and then $199.00 a month.

I agreed to the charges but did not get any paper work in the mail as promised the first charge hit my account and I called to find out what was the hold up as I needed to go to the doctor. They said they would resend the paperwork.

When I got the paperwork The top shows Insured's Name: Effective date, member id plan:... All the things you would expect of an insurance company. I got a card that says coverage medical mail claims to :Spencer & Associates, One S. Limeston St Suit 301, Springfield, OH 45502. The address was different but I did not worry. I paid for this "insurance" for three months before I got to the doctor.

When I finally went to the doctor I was told that this was a scam that this was not insurance and he would not see me unless I had cash in advance.

I did receive during month two a paper for me to sign to allow them to draft charges from my account. I did not sign this nor did I mail it back but it did not stop them from taking the charges from my account.

The day I went to the doctor I called to cancel my coverage and request a refund. They charged me an additional $199 that day several days before it normally would hit my account so I had several bounced checks because of it. I have gotten a refund of that last $199 but feel that the remaining $722 should also have been refunded to me due to the fact they sold me insurance and now they say that they are not an insurance company.

When I called to cancel they sent me a letter stating that they are not an insurance company but a discount company but that is not what I was paying for. Then the lady that I spoke to at 877-378-9237 wanted to know the phone number and the name of the person I spoke to at the enrollement center three months after the fact. Do they not keep that information? I know I did not have it. She said that she could not help me because I did not have that information.
