Dear Reader, I would like to tell you about Association member benefits advisors. They are the most unethical company I have ever worked with. For training with this company you send foot the bill to get to Austin which wasn't an issue except for the lies that were told in training. There were so many promises of what would happen with the Texas retired teachers association which we were to be representing. we were told that we were to be advising retired teacher on their annuities, health plans, and basically we weren't lying to retired teachers to sell them basically life insurance. there was so much time and effort put into going to meetings on Monday morning I was also lied to about where the meetings originally were going to be held on Mondays which were 50 miles from where I live which made it very difficult for me to get to those meetings at 8 o'clock on Monday morning in rush hour traffic. I have absolutely no respect for this company. it is very hard to make a living as a sales agent when a district manager gives his agent a set of leads where over 60% have no numbers, no addresses, and if they do you have a number its disconnected yet you're expected to produce and you are scored on performance. I do believe that the new agents get all of the terrible leads while the district managers and some of the more seasoned agents received the descent leads. I have been in sales for over 7 years and I have never ever ever worked for a company that was so unethical. They really do put on a great show upon hiring you to work with them it's beautifully crafted but I warn anyone who is interested in a career opportunity with with growth advancement this company is not the company to work for. When you have to read a script over the phone and lie to get into a retired teachers home to tell them that you're not there to sell them anything yet it is your entire intention it just seems wrong to me and it's very difficult to make a living for someone who has any conscience when you are working with a company who basically are a bunch of liars. "Make sure you study your rebuttals" that's what is preached by the district managers; I like to call them lies. I am happily, gainfully and respectfully employed with a wonderful company and would only like to warn anyone who is considering working for Association Members Benefits Advisors it is not for someone who has a family to support. And it is not for anyone with a conscience it is nothing but insurance sales. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE..... K. B.
