My son has Account Protecter Plus on my Barkley credit card. In April of 2009 I became 100% disabled and could not longer work. I applied for the coverage & complied with all the information. I even sent in my Social Security Award letter, the Dept of Defense Disability letter, showing that he will never work again, also VA showing he is Unemployable.


He received a letter dated Oct 7,09, stating that he has been transferred to your new program. It shows that Permently Disabled  accounts can cancel, the outstanding balance up to $10,000 maximum. He contacted Jane Blessing at 1 800 742-1461 to inquire about what he needed to do to file this. He was told he didn't qualify.


He is being sent forms monthly for his doctors to fill out. (It is costing him $30.00 per Doctor) to have these filled out, with money he doesn't have. He has asked several times why he has to continue to do these medical forms. He is told " you have do or we will stop paying".


 Also they are only paying a minimum amount each month (up to 24 months). This month only $94.00 of which the bank is taking $59.00 interest. At this rate the bank will be making around $ 1500.00 interest and he will still owe about $ 3000.00, at the end of 24 months. Since June 2009 his balance was $ 3741.75. As of Jan 2010 his balance is: $3593.93


He has been in constant contact with everyone he could think of, but nobody cares. He is just getting a run around.  


 I am writing this for him, because he can't    Please help
