ASTAR Florida for 4 persons, all included. Cheated by taking money from my credit card Tampa Florida
I had telephone call from Astar february the 14th. telling me I won a trip to Florida for 4 persons all included. I live in Sweden and they told me I could take three other persons with me, my wife and two friends.
The persons sound very serious, and even I told them I was very sceptical to give my account number away, they told me not to worry, nothing would happen, because they did not have the special 3 digit code. I did not give them the special code( the 3 digits on the backside )of my creditcard.
10 minutes later my account was withdrawn for 998 dollars!!
I sent an E-mail to the company and got an answer back that I have to telephone them when the office was open.
Throughout the first telephone call I got from Astar I spoke with 4 different people there. Two men and two women. Think I became a little cofused!
Do hope that in some way I will get my money back.

Hi i live in Australia and have just returned from the trip to Orlando Florida with Astar Travel. IT WAS GREAT and would do it again, The resort was great the astar people were helpful, We took the option of the 7 day car hire instead of the trip to Vegas,It was good to have our own transport and we used it alot. It seems that there are bad companies out there that make it hard for other companies. Maybe there sale pitch is not the way you would like but Astar told me that they were given the job to assist in bring tourism to orlando to help with there ecconomy,. I was very worry myself after reading lots of negative reports, if you notice not one of these people have been on this trip. so i thought i would correct the bad press and tell it how we (all 4 of use ) found it.

After a telephone call and after telling my bank that this wihdrawal of my account was unlegal, I got my money back from Astartrips.
They told me in the telephone that they did not withdraww the money in the beginning because I did not accept their way.
The whole "case" took five days.
Anyway, this was a "good" experience . Never give your accountnumber out to anyone!!

Have had several e-mails and a phonecall to this company, and they told me that I will have my money back in 3 to 4 days.
They even told me that I allready had cancelled the Winning-Trip.
I had not giving the confirmation and allowed them to take out the money from my account. My account is whithdrawn with 998 dollars, but it also says Visa reservation.
I just have to wait and see what will happen.

Hi Sven,
You have every right to cancel your bookings (even if it were legitimate) within 24 hours. All you need to do is to keep ASTAR informed which you have done.
Please persisit in your communications, document everything. ASTAR has a 30 days MONEY BACK GUARENTEE. So they should and must reutrn your money which they had no right to take in the first place!
So keep calling them and insist on getting your refund. Do not stop till you get the money. Do not mind them being rude. Thats how they would behave with you. They would put you on hold for a long time, then disconnect you and try and frustrate you from getting back your money. they are very comfortable being totally unprofessional and impolite.
I Have gone thro' this process and by God's grace got my money back.
Please read all the rip-off reports on astar. You will get excellent clues on how to handle them.
I sincerely wish you all the very best.
