ASUSTEK ABSOLUTELY NO SERVICE TAIPEI, TAIWAN GLOBAL

1. I have tried repeatedly to register the eee 1000xp notebook I bought. The terrible website will not accept the serial number. (yes it is correct.)

2. Calling the "Service Centers does not work: Australia= no one answers the phone. Taiwan engineers tell the customer to go to office in country. Japan tells custoimers go to company in country where you bought computer.

3. Display is small when booted up and remains same no matter how many times I download the drivers.

4. Wallpaper and desktop pics non existant as Windows probably needs repair but cannot. There was no Windows XP in carton when opened.

So, I'm stuck with a $700 dollar quasi-functioning notebook that cannot be serviced. Beware better to buy another brand notebook!!
