Complaint Review: Asylum Office - Refugee Asylum and International Operations Directorate

While the refugee crisis continues in Europe, the White House plans to accept a small amount of refugees from Syria. The Asylum Office under the U.S. Citizen And Immigration Services is responsible for processing refugee applications. This agency has proven very incompetent in dealing with Muslim refugees. The Asylum Office lacks personnel that are reflective of different ethnic / religious minorities. The Miami Asylum Office and the Houston Asylum Office continues to be insensitive and bigoted towards refugee applicants from the Middle East, South East Asia and North Africa. President Obama should address anti-Muslim bigotry within the Asylum Office while holding office managers accountable for discriminatory practices against other ethnic and religious groups.
