AT&T Broadband AT&T Broadband 24-hour technical service does not respond to calls after 5 p.m.! New York
At&T technical services has an automated telephone system that goes from putting you on hold, to transferring you to departments that you did not request, to automated messages that are non-related to your problem.
I purposefully did not "push 1, 2, 3 or 4, as asked to see what woud happen. My calls were forwarded to who knows where, and I received automated responses from "we do not recognize your telephone number" to "outages in your area", et cetera.
This happened on at least five different attempts to get help with my technical problem. I am contemplating contacting one of television's action lines regarding AT&T's policies, and advertising a "24-hour technical support system". i am sure this has happened to thousands of customers, not only in California, but throughuot the United States.
This type of situation, unfortunately, happens with a lot of big companies. We, the consumer, get the run around. It is time to put a stop to it. Make these companies provide the services they say they offer.
