I was charged $2.85 for 1 min. for a collect call when the answering machine picked up. My sons ex girlfriend called 10 times in 1 day and I denied every call.It was very annoying that she was doing this ,she even got an operator to try to make me accept the phone call.

I denied the calls every time and when I left the house she left a message on my answering machine. HOW CAN AT&T CHARGE ME FOR A COLLECT CALL I DID NOT ACCEPT!! There was another charge with a different long distance co. and it was a very simple thing to call and have them credit me for that charge.

But not with AT&T,they kept me on the phone for 30 mins. trying to get me to change my long distance to them and they would not fix my problem. The second time I called AT&T a Jason tried to get me to change my long distance. and when I said no I just do not think I should pay for a collect call when my answering machine answered, he hung up on me.So I called back and talked to Linda she said AT&Ts policy does not credit you when your answering machine picks up.

I THOUGHT A COLLECT CALL MEANT YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT IT BEFORE THEY CAN BILL YOU FOT IT!!!
