I was looking for a credit card that I could transfer my high interest rate credit cards to. I found the AT&T Universal Card with a 9% fixed rate. Any purchases would be at a higher rate but that did not matter cause I was not going to use if for purchases.

After being late on three different occasions (not more than 10 days each time) my rate was increased to triple the original rate. THAT'S 27% INTEREST!!! Not only did they get late fees from me, but they did not even warn me of the hike. Being late 10 days doesn't even show up on your credit report!

I called to dispute the hike and said that I had great credit and had never had an interest rate so high in my entire life. I asked if they could do something to lower it or else I would have to cancel my card. They refused, would not even consider it and now I am paying 10% higher interest than I was before I transferred the other credit cards.
