I received three promotional balance transfer checks from AT&T Universal card. Two checks were at 0% APR and one was at 3.9& APR. On 9/6/04 I called and transferred a balance using the 0% APR promotion. Everything was verified and the credit protection plan was offered. On 9/27/04 I called to verify the transfer. I was advised from the representative it was never processed. I spoke with the account manager "Deborah" who advised the only item I was given was an option to purchase credit protector. They had documented that I had called, however no record of a balance transfer was seen, only that I was offered credit protector. I asked for the call to be pulled, because they do record the calls they say, I was advised that they only record cards if purchases are made.

Give me a break. I asked to speak to her management and I was told I could only write. I asked to speak to the President and was told I could write. They refused to help me in anyway. They say they never offered the promotion. Look on their website. The 0% APR is there. Someone messed up and they won't make it right. I closed my account, which they did within hours, go figure. I will be more than happy to take my money elsewhere and I promised I would let anyone and everyone know how they treat their customers!
