AT&T Uverse AT&T, Sales Representative Lied about my monthly bill amount and the "Rewards", Internet
I recently switched from Time Warner Cable to ATT Uverse Cable and internet service. I called because I had recieved a $200 cash back offer in the mail and I wanted to compare the rates to my current rates for cable and internet. The salesman on the phone quickly roped me into a service plan where he promised to match the $200 cash back offer and the monthly bill would be abou $97 per month for the U200 cable package and the medium speed internet package. After that he assured me that after the 6 month promotional period my bill would be capped at $119 per month.
After having the service for 2 months, I have not recieved any of the cash back and my bills have been about $145 each month. I have made several attempts to contact the company to resolve this, but I have had no luck. All of the people I talk to say that this is not within the rules and they can't do anything to help me. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the hopes that they will help resolve this. I was lied to on the phone and promised a lower rate for the services that I am recieving. If I cannot resolve it this month, I will put a hold on my credit card and have them remove the equipment from my house. Then I guess it is back to Time warner cable...another customer service nightmare. Does anyone out there know of an honest and reliable cable or internet provider in the Raleigh, NC area?
