ATK North America Re-manufactured engine blew a head gasket at 19,000 miles. Grand Prairie Texas

Bad company, bad product, horrible warranty!  -1 on a scale of 10!

Bought a re-manufactured engine from them for my 2003 Pontiac Montana and had my mechanic install it.  After only 19,000 miles, it blew a head gasket.  Contacted their warranty and they had us perform diagnostics that included pulling the engins out of the car.  Instead of letting us repair the head gasket issue, they chose to send another engine and that jacked up the costs. 

My claim was for $2,879.43 @ $100hr labor rate that is the going rate.  Their reimbursement was for only $1,285.00 @ $50 and hour and didn't even cover half of the actual cost.  I saw the engine and blown gasket and the damage was caused by poor re-manufacturing, cheap parts in my opinion and my mechanics. 

ATK is very difficult to contact, tech doesn't return calls half the time and it's hard to get an email address for them.  The total repair/warranty issue took 3 months.  Fortunately, $3,000 is no big deal for me but it's the principle of the bad warranty that is.  Needless to say, will never do business with them again and hope none of you will ever have to deal with their horrid warranty!
