In August I mailed in a Notary Public renewal form including my credit card number to Atlantic Bonding Company in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  They charged my credit card, but I never received my Notary Renewal notice and Notary Stamp.  When I tried calling their phone numbers I get a recording that their voice mail box is full.  Their fax line has been disconnected.  I just read another report on this website that indicated this company is out of business.  I have disputed the credit card charge with my credit card company, but now I have to find another company to get my notary renewal from and it will take about 4-6 weeks before I'll be able to notarize documents for my customers.  It is very concerning because in order to renew your Florida Notary status you must provided the company with confidential personal information.  I now have to worry about identity theft with this scam artist.  I can understand if they went out of business, but they should not have charged my credit card.
