Selling magazine subscriptions through schools, then not delivering the magazines .....

We purchased a magazine subscription from a neighbor's child who was selling them for his school through Atlantic Circulation, Inc. We purchased the subscription in July 2002 and our check was cashed by Atlantic Circulation shortly thereafter. We never received a single issue.

I called Atlantic Circulation in November to complain and to ask for my money back. I was advised that our first issue was scheduled to be shipped that very month, November. Since we were getting ready to move, I notified Atlantic Circulation of our new address. Since I was told that our first issue was en route, I let it go.

In December, still with no magazine, I contacted Atlantic Circulation again. I was advised by Laura Potter, Customer Service Supervisor that she would send out a refund check immediately.

As of today - January 30th, 2003 - I still have received no magazine and no refund. I called Laura Potter back today. She told me that the publisher said they had delivered two issues. I advised her that I have not received them, that I cancelled this subscription some time ago due to this and that I want my money back. She said she would have to "investigate" the problem.

I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, but Ms. Potter's response to the complaint was unsatisfactory. As I have received no magazines in the six months since I ordered them, I want my money back.
