ATLANTIC HEALTH SYSTEM MORRISTOWN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL,MARY BUCKLEY O'DELL,RN,Manager WRONGFUL TERMINATION/EMPLOYEE ABUSE/DEFENSELESS EMPLOYEE/ZERO RIGHTS AGAINST EMPLOYER/ABUSED OF POWER MORRISTOWN New Jersey
I am a registered nurse, wrongfully terminated on june 8,2007.I have a perdiem status,I was accused of poor nursing judgement/failure to follow policy/procedure(THAT NEVER EXIST).I was falsely accused/reported to the board of nursing.I was never reprimanded/given a chance to defend myself before my termination, due to the abuse of power/law in the state of nj.an employer can terminate an employee at will with or without a cause.this makes an employee DEFENSELESS.I hired my own lawyer and financially drained out for almost 2 yrs.now.My lawyer tried her very best to defend me but the judge, solely base his decision on the right of the employer to terminate an employee at will with or without cause.
The company/my manager completely disregarded the result/decision of the board of nursing investigation. There's no sufficient cause for me to be disciplined/concluded the investigation. My manager had a bogus investigation/no documentation of her investigation report.I have withdrawn several of my true allegation, like slander, defamation, emotional distress, punitive damages and etc.
I ask for amicable settlement no money involved at the earliest stage of the case. The court gave us a mediation hearing they still refused to settle with me.ALL I want is is the removal of my termination record bec.i lost several chances to get another job bec.the employers always finds out my termination record.I was thrown out of the hospital bldg.when i was working for another co.that is under contract with the same co.that terminated me.
I ended up in the emergency room the next day after my termination.
My home patient didn't even complain/still keeping my services to this day.My patient that have an agreement letter with the hospital,i followed a Dr's order to take the patient to the hospital,i notified the nurse in-charge/allowed me to take the patient to the hospital/take care of the patient.I didn't clock in for the reason i don't like to double charge the insurance of my patient. The risk manager of the hospital didn't even charged the tx.of my patient, due to very low risk of accountability.ALL THEIR ACCUSATION TO ME WAS UNFOUNDED,AS THE CAUSE OF MY TERMINATION.THERE'S NO JUSTICE IN THIS COUNTRY ESPECIALLY TO MINORITY/SMALL PEOPLE LIKE ME.THE EMPLOYER CAN JUST THROW YOU IN THE GARBAGE IF THE DON'T LIKE YOU ANYMORE.I LOVED MY ALMOST 12 YRS.OF JOB IN THAT AHS CO.

Due to your horrible spelling and lack of hospital knowledge
It is per diem not perdiem - you were a contract employee and nothing more
All hospital have policies and procedures regarding anything from restraints to NICU issues
If you can prove the Hospital did not have the proper P and P, then file a complaint with JCAHO or the Department of Health
My ? is what was the real reason you were terminated????
You hired an attorney and lost so there is more to this story that you are stating

If you live in a state that has "at will" employment law, why would you waste your money contesting this? The judge was absolutely correct. In an "at will" state, your employer doesn't need a reason to fire you. That applies to everyone. Why do you think you should get special treatment?
