It makes it look like I have a job as a secret shopper & I knew I hadnt applied for a job like that and the check was payed to the order of me the company on the check was Race Engineering

I didnt try to cash it because I want to look it up on the net first because there was no website listed or a email address. Beware the are fake but look like a normal payroll check plz dont embarrass yourself!

I am SICK and TIRED of this check in the mail SCAM!
I get them frequently and am wondering how in the heck they ever got my mailing address and am VERY glad they dont' have my real physical address.
I always shred them before anyone else in our family sees them and tries to deposit them.
These crooks don't care if the people who get them understand exactly what it is they have gotten or not or even if they understand English well enough to figure it out that it is BOGUS or that they need to call the bank to find out if the person that is supposed to have issued the check even has an ACCOUNT there.
Most engineering firms I know do NOT do secret shopping.
I wonder if Race Engineering knows that one of their checks was apparently stolen. It's THEIR responsibility to keep up with their money, however.

Still, you would be amazed as to how many people fall for it still.
