Complaint Review: Atlantic moving service LLC

My parents in their 70s hired this so called company ro move about 20 pcs of furniture about 3 miles. In Parrish FLA They were quoted $400.00. The truck arrived 5 hours late they were told to sign the contract and they would get started. Once the truck was loaded they were given the ballance of the original quote. Then the took off and call and demanded $1950.00 Additional to return the furniture. They came up with a whole list of bogus charges. Packing materials, Stair charge, heavy items charge, long carrying fees, etc Unfortunately we had no other choice but to pay the ransom. We were unable to get any call backs from the company. There was dammage to furniture that they wont cover. The more research i do im seeing the same complaints. Something needs to be dont to stop this theft
