Atlantic Subscriptions
On August 24, 1999 I met a nice young man at my local mall who told me that he was seeling magazine subscriptions at a discounted rate for one of his graduate courses (he was earning his MBA.) He told me, "that it was a contest between his classmates and the winner one a trip." So I eagerly helped him and signed up for 4 magazines. He gave me receipts but told me that I had to pay in cash so I did. He told me, "that it would take 120 days to start recieving my subscriptions." So I waited for them to come but they never did. It was after three months that I began to worry that I had been "ripped-off."
However, I had kept my receipts an at the top they had the subscription company's information:

When I called them they told me that it had not been 120 days and that if they did not come by then to call them back. So last week, seven months later I called them and the number just kicks me into voice mail.
So needless to say, I am mad. I spent $140.00 for magazine subscriptions that I never got. I really got "ripped off" just trying to help someone and fell like such an idiot.
