06-July-2005
Received email telling me move date of July 19, 2005 0900 1100.

On email: Delivery Time: between 3-14 business days from the EARLIEST date you can accept delivery

18-July-2005
Received call letting me know they would not make it to my house at the scheduled window of 0900 1100, rather they would arrive some time between 1200 1400.

19-July-2005
1000 - Aubri was at doctor and called to tell Guy she would not be home until 1215. He said that was fine as they were really busy doing some work and would be a little late.

1330 Guy called and said they would arrive around 1400.
1520 The movers arrived at our home (3 and hours late)

Guy wrapped the furniture up great. However, he only had 2 people helping him, both teenagers. They were slow and lazy. They carried 1 box at a time out of the home. They constantly complained. Guy told them several times they were not even breaking a sweat and to get moving. Several times, the kids were talking on their cell phones and Guy had to tell them to get off the phone and get to work. Guy left the house twice (to get tape and dinner) and both times they just stood around while he was gone.

Upon eating dinner, the teenagers through the onions from their burgers into my flowerbed. The movers also walked over my flowerbed killing the plants and destroying the bed I had just created. The movers also gouged my doorframes and scratched my hard wood floors in the entry way of my house during the move. Aubri took photographs of the damage.

Guy picked up a case of tape and charged me for it, however over 12 rolls of unused tape were left on the floor of the home. Due to the fact that James was already in Texas and Aubri was flying out at 6AM the next morning, the tape had to be added to Aubri's suitcase to move causing a $50 fee of the suitcase being too heavy. They could have boxed up the tape since they were charging me for it. I didn't pay for them to leave things like this on my floor.

The workers were exhausted when they got to my house. I was told I would be getting service for this move, not exhausted workers. The three people who moved me took over 9 hours. Everything in my home was already packed with the exception of 2 lamps, 2 metal shelves, and 4 other items which we were told they could handle. Guy was a manager and the other two were kids. On the web site, there are photos of professionals loading / unloading a truck; this is false advertisement. I did not get what I payed for.

Three things were left behind in the home: 2 office desks valued at over $200 each, and an EMPTY 5 gallon CO2 tank valued at $50. The movers said they could not fit the desk through the door. Considering James got them through the door on the way down, they are wrong. They also said because the desks were composed of pressed wood, they could not take them apart. I was not informed of this previous to them arriving. I was also told nothing about the movers not being able to transfer an empty CO2 tank in any paperwork I received. I was lucky my tenants moving in did not mind having the desks there.

Aubri filled out delivery form and was told by Guy to put ASAP as the delivery date as we wanted the product delivered immediately.

Aubri had to continuously go through the home and remind the movers not to forget things. She had to remind them 3 times to not forget what was in the garage.

20-July-2005
0030 The movers finally finish loading the truck. Aubri must be at the airport in 5 hours.

21-July-2005
Aubri calls and speaks with Eli in detail about unprofessional and discourteous movers. She also explained about the property damage and that she had photographs. Eli said they sometimes hire people and give them a chance but sometimes they should not be employed with the company. He said the general manager would need to review the information and would get back with Aubri. Aubri asked Eli if she would hear back from the G.M. by the next week and he said Probably so.

22-July-2005
James calls to find out when the stuff will be delivered and finds out everything is still in a warehouse in Portland, OR

29-July-2005
Aubri calls and speaks with Eli about some document he needs her to sign in order to deliver the property. He could not get his fax machine to send the fax to a valid fax number at Wal-Mart. Aubri told Eli he was not going to drive all over town to find a fax machine that would work with his faxer/scanner/printer that they could not figure out. She told him to email it to her since he had a scanner, however, he said he could not email it since he did not have an electronic version already created. She reminded Eli that their web site states they are fully computerized so he would just have to find another way to get the paperwork to her as she had already stopped at a valid fax number and they could not get their machine to send the fax.

During the many calls back and forth about the fax, Aubri also reminded Eli that she had not heard back from the G.M. about the previous issues. He said he had passed the information on to the G.M. and it was out of his hands.

James finally called Eli and found out that they did, in fact, have the paperwork they needed with the delivery address. They had misplaced it.

Aubri calls Eli and gives him address of storage unit to deliver everything to.

01-August-2005
Aubri calls Eli to find out where her property physically located and to get an estimate on the delivery date. He said he would call the Portland contractors after pulling her file and would call her back when he heard back from them. As of 08-August-2005 we have not received a phone call to tell us where our property is.
Aubri also reminds Eli that she has not heard back from the G.M. and to please have him call her about the previous issues.

04-August-2005
Aubri calls and leaves voice mail for the G.M. to call her regarding previous issues. Also sent an email to Louis regarding all issues in hopes he could help find a resolution.

Aubri files complaint with Portland BBB via Lucy regarding issues.

05-August-2005
BBB files complaint formally.

06-August-2005
James calls and leaves message that the complaint was filed and we want to know where our stuff is.

08-August-2005
As of today they are in violation of contract. I want to know where everything I own is.

Thanks for your help. I will try and see what I can find out from your Eli.

The only attorney I know would be a Tommy McClain in Dallas Texas.

He has helped in getting trucks released from the border patrol.

His phone number is:

214-691-6622

As of today (August 10, 2005) I know my stuff is in storage in Portland, OR as I finally spoke with Eli. The manager still has not called me back. I have filed with the BBB and am in the process of researching a good lawyer. If you are a lawyer or know a good one, feel free to contact me.

I'm not sure of Eli's age.

He is foreign and has an accent. He is in the Colorodo office. If you call the 1800 number on the web site you can ask to speak with him.

That is all I know.
Good luck.

I was reading your report and I found the name of "Eli" that might just be of some interest to our case.

What I was wondering is if you knew the last name of "Eli"? Was this a younger man or an older man?

We are currently looking for an Eli who has our truck that the company I work for financed and he has disappeared and so has the truck.

I have posted a cash reward for the person who helps us get this truck.

Any information you would give us would be confidential.
