Complaint Review: ATM Plumbing

ATM Plumbing in Olathe, KS caused a gas leak on their first visit to a rehab home in December 2008 by inadvertently unhooking a gas pipeline instead of a water line.  I was there when they made the mistake and they hooked it back up but not properly.  This caused a gas leak in this home that went unnoticed for over 2 weeks until we smelled it. I called the gas service and they forced the gas off as it was an explosion hazard.  The technician said he was actually surprised that it had not blown up with my husband and I in it.  ATM was called and took them several hours to get there in the middle of winter with no heat because they had other emergencies...maybe other gas leaks they had caused?  After the leak was fixed every appointment we made they were several hours late, work was never completed to code as per our written agreement, they had agreed to reimburse us for a $300 gas bill because of the leak which they have failed to do some 9 months later.  My agreement with them was to replace all old iron pipes which I do not believe happened as rusty water still flows from the bathtub and that shouldn't happen with plastic pvc pipe.  Unless you have a death wish and a lot of time and money on your hands  DO NOT USE ATM PLUMBING especially Tom as he spends more time on his cell phone with his wife than completing your job incorrectly.
