At the time of hire you are promised a 40 hr work week with a base pay of $11.00/hr (They promise $12.00/hr but reviewing paycheck stubs base rate is listed as $11.00/hr. For arguement sake we will use the $12.00/hr model for pay because thats what they advertise) 40hrs x $12.00/hr = at least a base check of $480 before taxes. However you start with only 5hrs your first week for "in office training" your second week goes to 25hrs your third 15hrs. They say hours are based on performance a fact not mentioned at the interviews or upon hire along with no where in the new hire paperwork. Apparently your expected to make 4 installs your first week in the field so that's what your hours are based

on, even though 25hrs is not enough time to learn a product or sell it in training. Now this is also a commissioned based job because this is where your meant to make most your money selling DirecTV product. You receive $120.00 commission for every INSTALLATION. (Which you just stand by the doors at CostCo like a sales person trying to stop people and ask if they own DirecTV then get them to switch cable providers. ) Installation is bolded because installation is different then sell. Even if you get 5-6 people back to the Kiosk in your 4hr shift let's say only 3 qualify for DirecTV product 2 sign up. The sign up is considered the sale however you don't receive the commission till installation day which

means a customer can call and cancel later or not enough signal so can't do installation or the customer can even make the installation two weeks from the day and you won't receive that money till that day. But first you have to make atleast 4 installations within a week this is because at 4 installations x $120.00 commission = $480.00 that is meant to cover your payroll of 40hrs a week with base pay of $12.00/hr. 40hrs x $12.00 = $480.00. However as I said you don't receive 40hrs so your paying over your payroll amount to the company. Because 15hrs a week x $12.00/hr = $180.00 with 4 installations in a 15 hr week your paying over $300.00 to the company to cover your payroll of $480.00 except you don't

get a base pay of $480.00 your payroll is $180.00. System wouldn't be so bad if you didn't share payroll responsibility with coworkers for example if you do manage to make atleast 4 installs every sale over that goes to you WRONG. If a co-worker doesn't make any installs your 5+ installs of $120.00 go to cover your co-workers payroll base of $480.00. You only receive your commission pay AFTER all expenses for the business and payroll is paid which is relatively nothing considering 50 employee payroll and other business bills. Of course this is if you receive it your first paycheck is not paid out to you till three weeks after your first week or in better words 1 month after your start date. Your supposed to be paid

weekly but your first check is paid a month later to you. They say this is for processing payroll paperwork. That first paycheck keep in mind is only 5hrs x $12.00/hr = $60.00. CONGRATULATIONS you worked a month for $60.00! Your annual salary for a 15hr work week x $12.00/hr x 4weeks in 1month x 12 months in a year = 8640 in a year. ANNUAL SALARY 8640 HR BASED. You also have to commute to various CostCo locations in Washington ranging from Seattle to Lacey to Gig Harbour. No they do not compensate you for gas either. As a matter of fact you don't receive benefits at all no medical and no dental. Not having benefits allows the company to pay a higher commission of $120.00 after 5+

installations. You also have to be on conference calls at all hours of the day ranging from 6a.m. -11p.m. you don't get paid for the calls or taking time out of your day to be on a phone call for a hour or more. They also require for you to attend team night events for arcades, racing, or bowling all which you must pay out of pocket retail price to attend. These events also don't relate to work just for fun but your REQUIRED to go. So this is a perfect job if you have a month worth of expenses saved to wait a month for a $60.00 paycheck. It's a good job if you have faith you can INSTALL 5+ DirecTV products in a 15hr work week. Great job if you like standing at the doors in CostCo in the same spot catching people

asking if they have cable and would like to switch providers. Better job if you looking for a temp to hire because hours are based on performance or if your looking for part time work. No you don't make the 60k-100k they promise and if you do manage to start making a decent living expect to receive that check weeks from now. BE SMART! NO COMPANY IS WILLING TO PAY EMPLOYEES 60K-100K WITHOUT QUALIFICATIONS LIKE ASSOCIATES OR BACHELOR DEGREE AND NO EXPERIENCE! IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE ITS BECAUSE IT IS!
