ATN Promo ATN Promo -Brand Ambassador Employee Wage Fraud Atlanta, Georgia
ATN Promo places Craigslist ads for Brand Ambassadors all throughout the US. They ask you to create a profile online and then they then select you and force to you Esign a contract saying that if you do not show up to the event you owe them $150.00 also, you will not speak with other ambassadors regarding pay, you will not contact them about payment until 60 days, and you will not contact the client directly. Hmm sounds a little off, but I committed to it anyway even though they changed the venue (45 min driving difference) the night before and promised a higher rate of pay without confirming. Afterall, I would be representing a reputable company.
Well, after the event is completed, they end all communication, and do not pay wages claiming "The client has not paid us" so we will pay you once our check is cut. Now, it has been over 90 days with no pay, my profile is also blank with no sign of the contract I was forced to sign. I have contacted the number on the website and it goes straight to voicemail most of the time. Then when I did speak to someone she first of all answered "hello" instead of a company name, and said "oh you should have a check at the end of the month" as if to shut me up. The people who were once 'nice' and texting, emailing, calling like crazy to ensure we showed up, now do not answer and simply send automated emails.
If I can help just a few people steer away from this unethical company, it would mean a lot to me so that others do not fall victim. After much research I have found they give the same excuses and avoidance dance to many others out there. Perhaps a class action lawsuit is in order.

ATN Promo Response to Staff Payment Concerns
#3UPDATE Employee ..inside information
Thu, November 14, 2013
I would like to take a minute to address the concerns called out here on Rip-Off Report over the last few years regarding ATN and their lack of payment to their staff.
Before anything else, if you were truly not paid for work you performed on behalf of ATN Promo, I encourage you to go to the Illinois Secretary of State and file a report as this issue needs to be resolved immediately.
ATN has now been in business for over a decade (11 years to be exact). Throughout that time, we have remained in good standing with the State of Illinois – something that would not remain true if we were a scam company or we didn’t pay our staff. We in fact do pay all of our staff for the work they’ve performed. There are only three reasons why someone would not be paid via ATN:
- If they no-showed or cancelled at the last minute
- If there was a blatant breach of contract by the staff member
- If the employee moved and did not contact ATN with their change of address
My question back to the staff who are questioning ATN for lack of payment would simply be this: upon working for ATN Promo, did you read and understand the terms of the agreement you knowingly and willingly signed? Specifically in the following areas:
- Payment terms
- W9 paperwork (if applicable – only applicable for those earning < $600)
- Last minute cancellation/no show policy
- Blatant breach of contract (your ATN employment agreement)
Should you have any questions regarding any of the information enclosed above, please feel free to reach out to the ATN office directly as this is and will always be the best course of action for resolving any issues you may have with the company. When reaching out, please be sure to provide the following information:
- Your full name
- Your base location
- The event(s) in question where you have yet to receive payment
We look forward to resolving these issues and working with everyone again in the near future.
Sincerely,
The ATN Team
