 purchased an alarm in Nov 2013 Digital Life Account 111033132267.  I sold my home in July 2015 and called them to notify of my relocation.  They stated in July they do not service that area and to leave the equipment for the new homeowners.  Also I would not be responsible for the remaining months on my 2 year contract.  Well since then, they have billed me for early termination of the contract.  I called back in August shocked to receive a bill and the representative checked my new address and stated they could service the new address. I told them this is not what I was told in July and then tried to get me to do a credit check and get a new system.  This is not what I was told in July and it is obvious I had been a loyal customer since November 2013 until July.  Now they are billing me due to some information their customer service rep provided to me and now want me to pay the balance.  These practices are deceptive and I would recommend NOONE to do business with ATT  Digital LIFE....  STAY AWAY...

 

Very disappointing and I Will share my story with EVERYONE I KNOW, website, BBB,etc..  This is really sad...

 You are RIGHT in one aspect of what YOU have posted. It IS sad. Sad that YOU feel the need to pass the buck. Sad that YOU cant be an adult and live up to the obligations YOU agreed to. YOU signed a contract. A CS rep DOES NOT have the ability to cancel a contract. THAT has to go through accounting. As with ANY major corporation there is a correct way and a wrong way to cancel a contract. Let me tell you how this is going to go for you. YOU willingly signed a two year contract, one you DID NOT READ!!!! So NOW when YOU are being held to the terms of that contract, YOU go on a web rampage. YOU will go to every site you can find. YOU will shout it from the mountain tops how unfair and evil they are. But at the end of the day you either pay it or DONT!!! Pay it and get it off your credit or dont and let it sit there and FESTER like your wholey unjustifide rage and continue to let it build and build as multitudes of collection agencies purchase YOUR LEGAL DEBT and tack on even MORE money. The incidentals of YOUR PERSONAL LIFE do not factor in to the contract YOU signed. So YOU think THEY are evil and a scam and aripoff ALL because YOU are being held to the terms of the contract YOU SIGNED!!! NOTHING you can say will invalidate that one simple fact. EVERYTHING you have written is an EXCUSE!!!! The WHY YOU should NOT be held accountable for the paperwork YOU signed. Get over it and move on. Pay what YOU OWE LEGALLY and LEARN from it. In the future you DO NOT just take a CS reps word. YOU get it in writting!!!!Have them send you an email. SOMETHING you can give them if things dont work out in your favor. YOU did NOT do your due diligence in this situation. YOU did NOT follow the terms of the contract you signed to CANCEL with out penalty. So THIS is on YOU. The person who signed and agreed to ALL of this.
