I ordered the SBC bundle and was quoted and assured billing and rebates.
I was given prices on billing, products, taxes and shipping and handling cost which was high but I was guaranteed rebates and rewards that would help offset the first month's large bill. This was the only reason I choose the co and services.

Unfortunately I received a bill of $500. 00 more than what was quoted and I have not received the rebates or rewards. I received a notice to decline my rebates, however, I called and was told I was approved and it would take 4 to 6 wks. This does not include the other rebates not yet received.

I called and was told that who ever told me that I would receive my rebates in time for my first bill was wrong. I was also not told that Cingular bills a month in advance thus I was billed for two months of service, nice surprise. Therefore, if I want out of my contract, which I had 30 days to get out of, just in time to receive the first bill and locked in, I will have to pay $200.00, so SBC gets $700.00 for my troubles.

The customer service people only give lip service, because they know they got you.

I advise anyone who has had this problem to report the co. to their AG's office, because it is SBC's way of getting you in with a promise, locking you in and then reneging.
