ATT U-verse Directv ATT Internet, Directv Bundle The Lying Never Stops Rogers, AR/nationwide Nationwide
I had Directv for 13 years when I moved 17 miles closer to town, enabling me to finally get the internet! I was contacted by a customer service representative from ATT - overseas, offering me a great deal. Combine, or bundle Directv with ATT and I would get the movers special, only $20 a month more, no additional equipment fees and my Directv bill would remain the same. When my first bill arrived, which should have been around $55.00 total, it was over $80.00. I was getting charges equipment fees that I was told I wouldn't get. 30-40 calls later, transferred; hung-up on 5-7 hours per call; all overseas, I thought I was quite literally going to have a meltdown.
I have had to call every month just to get a $10 credit when it should be more like $30. I am paying for upgraded equipment because I was told the equipment that I brought with me wouldn't work with ATT U-verse. I actually had 2 letters in my hand that said with the movers special I would not be charged these fees. They also told me the U-verse tower was additional. Trying to get any answers is impossible and trust me, the overseas people make false promises, lie, and don't fix any concerns. Nothing works like it is supposed to yet they want to charge me $150 for a tech to come out. I am disabled and am unable to reboot the system myself and when I contacted the disability department they were very rude (they are all rude and dismissive) and were no help. I am not receiving the speed I was promised either. Used, lied to and abused. Since ATT bought Directv, dealing with Directv has also become a nightmare. I say a class action suit is called for! Just look at the number of complaints and the illegal false advertising alone, we all seem to have the same problems and similar issues. Why and how can they get away with all this?
