AT&T Cell Phone Blacklisted by AT&T to get me to buy another phone. Las Cruces nm
As a existing customer of AT&T we enjoy many of their services to include wifi in my car and extra devices such as my tablet. I purchased 2 iPhone12 Pro Max's for my family. They came with a insuranced and next up programs added tom my contract. This is important and I will share shortly.
Having a few payments left on the cell phones I was surprised when one cell stopped working. I called and talked with dozens of support specialist over a period of a week. The phone would be temporarily turned on for a few hours then stop working agian. I was always promised the problem would be taken care of.
In frustration I tried to upgrade and found the nextplan I pay monthly for would not allow me to upgrade. I also tried to see if the insurance through asurion would replace the phone. I was told a $250.00 dollar deductable and half of the price of a new phone9$500.00) would be required upfront.
It is not going on two weeks without cell service. I am disabled, and use the phone to stay in contact with doctors, family, and many things such as appointments and online services.
I am told by AT&T I am in a contract and will still be billed for the phone and services even if it is shut off. The phone works fine, it is the service that is blocking the phone. I have never missed a payment as it is automatically taken from my checking account.
I have called many times. I asked to escalate the problem with corporate and told no phone number exist. I have went to AT&T social media and they have not been helpful. I went online and signed into my AT&T acount and that did not get my phone working also.
I now have turned to ripoffreport for help and to warn others if you think your cell service is bad, don't goto AT&T.
