02/05/2010I went in to have a head unit installed. Someone on the
phone quoted me $110 for all parts/labor/installation. After having my
car worked on they told me that they would need an additional part
adding another 15$. I went back later during the week and they tried to
charge me $25 after arguing for a bit another employee told them to just
charge me $15. After everything was installed I noticed that my
subwoofers in the back were not working. I called asking why this was
and Mike told me that it was because my car was unique and there was no
way an aftermarket unit could connect to the subs. They said I would
have to buy an amp (another $160) in order to fix this. I asked him why
he didnt tell me that the subs would not work after installation when he
knew the whole time and he said it was because I never asked.
Fed up, i took the car to another audio shop and all they had to do was
reconnect some wires and they only charged me $10 for the labor. My subs
are now working perfectly. Dont believe these guys when they quote you a
certain price as they are certain to add some bogus fees on top of it
to try to scam you.
