I bought a pair of these speakers (same story) but paid $100 for the pair. I think for that price they were and are a good buy.

This board is full of complaints about the "ethics" of the sale but I dont see much about the poor quality or sound of the speakers!!

Look at best buy and compare these to speakers they are retailing!! I would guess that if best buy would sell them they would get $300+ a pair.

My suggestion are below

1) When a stranger approaches you with a "unbelieveable deal"
you know its a scam!!! (Im sure they would have friends, relatives ect that would have contacted first).

2)If you buy something off a stranger who approaches you, dont be afraid to lowball them

3)Dont buy anything at "near" retail prices without trying it!!!
Best buy has a hard time getting $600 for a set of JBLs

4)For you guys that are stuck with these speakers. Put them in your den, basement or garage for some music when you are working.

I just noticed the quanity of Audiofile speakers on e-bay.

Advertised as "High End" with retail prices ranging from $600-$4000.

I hope no one here on this board are trying to take someone else like they have been taken.
