I was at a car wash and this white SUV pulls up and one guy hops out and approaches me saying he has a great pair of speakers he must get rid off because he works at a stereo store and they ordered too many....and he didn't want to return them to work because his boss would keep them.

He said they retail for $1300 each speaker and he sold them to me for $325. I thought I got a good deal because he had a magazine that showed them and had the retail price. But apparently I purchased a pair of crapy speakers. My loss!

Same Story as everyone else but he got the Magazine too. Plus he got 4 of those tall speakers and a box with 5 surround sound speakers in it. It was 2 years ago and I think he paid $250.00 He sold 2 of the speakers for $200.00 so it turned out ok for us.We tried taking them to the pawn shop but they wouldn't take them without a receipt because they were still in the box. We went to another Pawn Shop where he took Two out of the box and then they don't want to give much for them so he was putting one back in the box when it fell off the tailgate and broke into pieces, He was pissed. The speaker box is flimsey particle board.

Hey Jim in Grass Valley I know where that is I used to live in Nevada city and work in Grass Valley. Now I live in Dallas, Texas Nobody ever knows about this ripoff till it happens to them. The way we found out about it was He bought them to resell and I checked on ebay and their they were (several)(with no bids)

Same d**n story as every other sucker on here, with a twist... Two white guys in a 2000-03 Expedition, pulled up in front of my car after i had just gotten paid today (much needed money if i might add), they said they had speakers they wanted to sell...they worked for a delivering co....had more speakers than they should and had a magazine saying they're worth $1,499.00 a piece...i was stoked to hear that they would sell them to me for 2 hundred each...Since i had just cashed my check at B-of-A and deposited most of it, when i drove with one of them in my car and the other one following me to pull the money out of the bank...it was closed! However, being a supreme sucker, i tried to pull it out from the ATM and could only get $80!

So I told the guys I'll write a check for the $320. And i did and he gave me a Phone #1 916 729 5621 and a name Mike Mullen...Well mike i went to the police after i found this site told them what happened and they said they couldnt do s**t...which is lame however I canceled my check and i really doubt you two found a place to cash it! Even if you did, you or they, would lose it anyway...so I have yet to see if they work but from what ive read on here they do work and i got an alright deal on them.
