Audiofile Speakers ripoff! Here's a little bit of info that may help you out and make you smile. Oakland California
about a year ago while visiting my aunt in oakland, some guys stopped me and did the whole speaker routine. I gave them all the money i had in the bank for them and since i live in nevada, it took some time to withdraw all $180 for the pair of 830lr's. anyways i drove home and that night i couldn't sleep. I felt like a moron.
luckily, i found a website that i don't belive exists any more which showed what the usual laminated crap the guys carry has and was able to sell them to a pawn shop for $220.
Even though i ended up making $40 on the deal, i still felt ripped off and pissed and ever since i have devoted a bit of my time to getting these guys off the streets
my revenge began about 3 months ago. Now reno is where i live and it was bad enough getting ripped off in another state, but my own town....HELL NO!!! To make a long story short, i was at albertsons with my little sister and all of the sudden these guys are like "wanna buy some speakers?" and i'm like "oh hell ya i do!"
i tried to call the non-emergency line for the cops but didn't remember it and then all of the sudden, my sister sees a cop car drive off in the same parking lot. I told her to run over and get the cops while i pretended i was interested.
it was quite a funny sceen when the cops came and the two guys attempted to talk with him. I felt great inside and i also snatched his little "receipt" while he was talking to the cops. If anyone wants a pic of it file me a rebuttle with yr email address in it

On 12/10/03 I was approached by 2 white guys about 20-25 yrs in a late model Ford Expedition (maybe an Explorer) it was Blue. I got the same story about how they were given to much merchandise when they went to pick up an order for there boss. Of course they wanted several hundred dollars for the stuff, And I thought I was getting a good deal by paying $225.00. They even gave me a lift to an ATM. The system is cheap china made junk with an over inflated suggested Retail of $1999.00. They even had a color newspaper style catalog with several different surround sound systems in it, including the one they were selling for about $1800. They Had a sales receipt for the original pick up order and there were graphics and advertising on the outside of the SUV. I don't recall the name on the truck but it was something like Precision Audio or stereo (not sure}. I was a trusting Fool. I should have known. My path will cross with them again. They know how determined I will be when Justice is in my sights. I did get the Lic# of the truck.

I any and all info available to tell the police I lost $500.
Today I got ripped off just like everyone else. Two white males in a silver explorer in orlando FL right across from UCF. I was on my way home from a test when they pulled me over. Like a retard i feel for they're pitch even though i knew something wasn't right. But the speakers had serial 3's and model #s and one of the guys even went into the bank with me. Well as soon as I got home I looked these speakers up before i even tested them out because i knew things weren't adding up. Turns out i was right. The kicker is i had the police come and i told them everything and they said they're is nothing they can do. I need all the information possible out there to give to the police. If anyone has a copy of the bogus adds they show, or reciepts, or even a phone # of one of the cons, anything i need it for not only the police but the credit card company. Yes i stupidly took the dude with me into my bank and got a $500 cash advance on my mastercard. Help me out I am a poor college kid who can't afford to make the dumb decision I did. Thanks and pray to God that these a##holes will rot in hell for what they are doing.
