Working for Ms. Wulff, I felt like she had planned for me all along to be one of her conquests. Ms. Wulff confused her personal insecurities with women in having a strong desire to dominate them like a husband does a wife, with her professional responsibilities to treat highly skilled workers with respect and to respect their personal boundaries.

Ms. Wulff had no experience as a manager over people prior to being a coordinator and then a full fledged manager over 30+ secretaries at a law firm. She was just an entry level help desk person at a law firm in 1999.

Audrey Wulff got away with discriminating against me as someone who performed a lot of overtime and gave 99.8% in her job. I had passed all of their tests and a co-worker with my title during the day who fell far below the typing speed requirement, was allowed to go unsupervised with far fewer demands.

Ms. Wulff began to treat me like I was her secretary even though I was the only night support staff as a Technical Document Specialist for a 3 floors of attorneys and LA's. No one ever complained to Ms. Wulff about my work quality or missed deadlines in 2 years I was working there. When I told her my workload was getting to be insane due to the growth of the firm, Ms. Wulff suggested I perform clerical work in her office during my downtimes. Wulff was a humiliating, de-energizing individual.

Ms. Wulff's former Eastern block country she came from as a second generation American resonated loudly in her persona and how she treated me as an American of many generations. I felt bulldozed by a foreigner out of a good job I worked hard to obtain and keep.

Ms. Wulff did not care what a great job I had done at the firm (all the others prior to me had been fired), and only cared about any slight hint that I wasn't too thrilled working with her in her increasingly annoying, aggressive and harassing nature of management. Too much was being demanded of me while my day counterpart was allowed to perform below average with little supervision at 40% less production. In fact, this employee actually viewed himself as a "supervisor" of the secretarial staff and got away with such an attitude (a man).

After I was terminated w/o severance for complaining about unfair treatment, I filled out the forms at the EEOC and was prepared to file a huge case with exhibits. The EEOC intake person reviewed my case and said I had a weak case for gender discrimination. The reason was, I put in writing I was no longer available for overtime. The nature of my response to unfair treatment had hurt my case significantly.

Ms. Wulff often humiliated me by frequently associating me with clerical tasks though I was often performing advanced skills far above the average Legal Word Processor. The level of my performance was extremely high. This supervisor deliberately chose to ignore the tremendous job I performed to reduce me to a clerical worker. This, while Ms. Wulff personally trained clerical workers from Kaiser Permanente, who had no previous law firm background, to be legal secretaries.

Ms. Wulff was rude, militant and forced me into overtime for the sake of making me miserable. She knew I was sick with allergies on prescribed medication and still called late at 11:00pm from home for revisions and expected me to stay to complete them even though I would have to work into early Saturday morning. All this while Ms. Wulff did not demand nearly as much from the day staff counterpart who did far less work and overtime.

At the end of my 2 years, I had performed 151 hours of overtime and had a good reputation among attorneys and the staff. Ms. Wulff was jealous and wanted to keep me down to make herself look good. She actually had the nerve to lower my TDS position below the Notaries in the firm's office guide hierarchy. Wulff demoted my position and asked me to make the changes and that is what provoked my final complaint and termination.

Hardly anyone really liked Ms. Wulff due to her militant, abrasive, annoying personality. Most put on a mask when forced to having to meet with her to discuss their performance, including myself. I was forced to have to work with her more than most as I didn't have the protection of a group of attorneys on a team. I worked for too many of them and thus my support only came once a year during review time.

I was made to feel that I was in the military and that Ms. Wulff could bark orders at me as if I was a soldier who had to carry out her demands immediately or face a military discharge. That is the nature of my former work relationship with a bully who discriminates knowing she has at-will employment laws on her side. They can fire anyone for any reason without any warning and get away with it unless they violate any of the California Employment Codes.

Ms. Wulff was forceful and acted like a police officer with the authority to harass and annoy in spite of complaints of discrimination. Two years into my employment, she was moving in for the kill, a virtual predator with a Blackberry who would sit at home with 3 children, sending e-mails at midnight over ridiculous print job petty matters.

Ms. Wulff treated me like I was invisible as if she was doing the work through me and when I no longer served a purpose to her inflated ego, she just wanted to get rid of me. She did not want to give individuals credit for their efforts and viewed everyone as one team on the same skill level and that everyone was really working to show how great she was as a manager. Kind of like socialism. Dictatorship.

Note: The reason Edmond continues to post messages here defending Ms. Wulff who he doesn't even know, is that he identifies with some unfair, unjust characteristic of Ms. Wulff's management style.

It is a relief not having to work for this person any longer. My allergies are completely gone and I've fully recovered from a severe back problem I attribute to the stress this manager created to oppress my life.

Meanwhile, the gay guy during the day sits most all day twidling this thumbs on a $60K salary with 3 week trips to Italy.

Kind of contradicting terms. Also no one can force you to work overtime unless you are Exempt.

Sounds like a bad case of culture clash. Who are you to judge her background? Did you run a background check on her?

Sorry you had such a bad work experience. I am sure you are not telling the whole story here. Or maybe between all your ranting you are saying something significant.

This is just to confirm that the nature of all but one of the comments to this rip-off report are from that of Edmond ****. Edmond **** has been tracking any rip-off reports I've filed and making comments to all of them. He is infamously known for taking on sock puppet identities to make multiple posts in an attempt to create an illusion of support against his political opponent.

I filed a report on Edmond **** and he has ever since been searching for any reports I've made in order to make comments such as these.

EEOC determined there was no evidence of discrimination or harrassment. Right?

Audrey sounds like a professional woman who knows how to get the job done. You are clearly more comfortable in a position where very little is expected of you. Get used to being "forced out of a job" if you cannot find your place on a team. In every team, different members are expected to make different contributions. Apparently Audrey determined you are a mule, not the brains of the operation. Mules have to work harder, their contribution is grunt work.

In America, no one owes you a job. Quit taking that attitude with one side of your mouth while yelling "socialist" with the other.

It is NOT YOUR PROBLEM that a company would rather hire or promote someone who is not doing the job as well as you will. In capitalist theory, the system is supposed to take care of that: that company won't be profitable and they will go out of business.

This socialist required me to prove I graduated from high school in order to get my job. This was the first time any employer in my entire work history requested I provide confirmation that I graduated from high school. I was hired there at the tender age of 44. No employer in the 27 years I've been in the workforce, has ever asked for proof I graduated high school. It was an immediate jab to start a job this way.

That's a socialist for you, an American has to prove to a socialist that they graduated high school while they are taking in and training several clerical workers with no experience at law firms, giving them graduation certificates and elevating them above experienced employees as official "Legal Secretaries". They give the hard working employees a hard time because they stand out from the crowd, while they just let the others do nothing most of the day, nothing but send out availability e-mails because no one wants to give them work they can't do well.

Socialism Breeds Dumb, Lazy Employees - Delusional Managers

Just a note, socialism seems to be really growing as a form of work culture at law firms, especially the last one I was at - my supervisor. My former supervisor once told a little story about her father arriving in a boat from some Eastern block country, in the Port of New York with no money in his pocket. I didn't know what to say. Was I supposed to, like, be happy to hear this? She later terminated me after implementing her socialist agenda after she was promoted to manager.

THE PROBLEM WITH SOCIALISM IN THE WORKPLACE
Socialist managers want all of their workers to feel they are all doing the same level of work and that everyone is on the same skill level. When someone picks up where another drops the ball, it's okay because it's all just one team. All tasks have the same value, there is no greater importance in developing an extremely complicated chart then doing a basic copy job. To a socialist, it's all the same work and everyone can do the work on the same level because a Socialist Manager doesn't care how the work gets done, just that it gets done. So in a Socialist Manager's mind, everyone is doing the same level of work and she doesn't want to know the details about who did what and how well they did it.

SOCIALISM BREEDS DUMB, LAZY WORKERS
The reason socialism is bad for the workplace is because it actually discourages people from performing their work on an outstanding level. It discourages people from seeking more advanced skills and encourages everyone to view themselves and coworkers in a non-competitive manner, one of an alleged team spirit. It makes people lazy to want to do the very least to get by in their jobs and to dump their load on someone else. Being indifferent to someone's greater efforts de-energizes such employees while their extra hours are heavily taxed by the Federal and State governments.

In a socialist system, the Socialist Manager gives you a few classes in Visio and viola! -- you now have the same skills as an 8 year experienced employee with years of trial and error in applying those skilils. Socialism creates instant employees who have the same skills as everyone else. The Socialist Manager maintains the delusion that everyone is on the same skill level and anyone who "rocks the boat" and complains that just isn't so gets terminated.

If Socialism could be applied to singers on American Idol, everyone would sound the same to a Socialist Vocal Coach. Everyone would be at the same vocal level, and any wrong note would be shared by the entire singing group, not by the individual. Instant singers! Everyone would be on the same level and the world would be a happy, happy place where everyone can sing because everyone is a singer. The listeners would have to suffer - unless they were brainwashed by a Socialist Vocal Listening Coach to believe that everyone is on the same level of vocal skills and quality.

SOCIALISM GOES AGAINST HUMAN NATURE
Socialism is seriously out of touch with the way the human spirit works. Humans are natural competitors. Don't hide behind a Socialist agenda that is just a deceptive way of trying to make the one's in control the winners. Because if everyone below you is the "same" you are the winner as their supervisor/manager, are you not? Funny how deceptive socialism really can be. With Capitlism, at least you know where people are coming from and that they aren't deluding themselves about their true competitive nature.

So, Ms. Hungary trains her sista's for a few weeks, gives them an autographed diploma and places them in the ranks among workers with 8 years experience, tons of skills and proven track records. She even has a group photo of them distributed. She then places them in their positions above seasoned highly skilled people in the heirarchy to deliberately annoy.

And they wonder why Americans complain about foreigners (e.g., people who migrated from foreign lands outside of America within the past two generations of their family history), immigrants. They take our jobs, bulldoze us out of a job we earned and deserve to keep, while you, Ms. Socialist Manager, open the floodgates to people who don't work hard, who are not too bright, and who cause a lot of problems with their lack of English skills.

Socialism is nothing more than a form of denial, a twisted human reasoning system that is based in delusional thought systems. It is also a way a kind of incompetent, full of B.S. manager gets away with not doing her job, not checking work logs, not caring if someone is being overworked while another is sitting day after day with little work. A socialist manager doesn't care about the details. And if you are too good she'll find a way to keep you mindful that you are on the same level of 1 month secretarial trainees as she puts them above you in the firm's hiearchy.

Please go back to Hungary. You'll never be close to being a real American in this country. I'd pay for your ticket. Take your family with you - I'm not interested in paying for your daughter's college education with my taxes.

I can't think of a more appropriate person the "C" word could be applied to then this Socialist Manager I worked for who was a fraud in every respect of the word. Go back to where you came from. You don't have the American spirit at all. You are nothing but Socialist n**i trash.

Socialism Unwelcome in America

Our American system can never accommodate the implementation of a socialist structure in its culture. Socialism, though often represented as a healthy alternative to Capitalism, goes against the very nature of progress and human growth that is the foundation of America and always will be.

Socialism enables workers without experience or skills to work at the same level of achievement as those who put in long hours and have far more advanced skills and experience. Both workers are viewed the same in a socialist system by the supervisor. And, as the clerical workers often have the more advanced workers take over their work for them, it doesn't matter who does the work. They are all viewed as one entity by the supervisor. They all own the same job - they all work as one "team" under the supervisor.

That's how a Socialist runs things. Doesn't matter how outstanding you perform your job, your skills, your contributions. A clerical worker with no experience working at a law firm will get to keep their job, and the highly advanced, experienced worker will get terminated because they are being taken advantage of and complain about it. That's the filth, the stinking manure of a socialist system where a clerical worker is treated exactly the same as a highly advanced person who works harder, has more skills and years more experience.

That stinks, that's manure - and you can all take your socialist, communist culture back to where you came from. If you don't want to live in a Capitalist culture and participate in the workplace as a Capitalist competitive culture, then go the hell back to where you came from! Next time I'm going to kick a*s whenever anyone tries to tamper with my culture by forcing their socialist agenda on me in the workplace.

I'm not going to judge the whole report by one section, but I am truly offended and insulted by a particular sentence.

If that is your attitude towards ANYONE who is an American citizen, it DOES make me wonder how your attitude is under all the circumstances you elaborated upon.

If you are a Native American - okay, you're American through and through. Otherwise, I don't care HOW MANY "generations" of "American" you are - if this woman is a 2nd generation American, OR FIRST, if she is a citizen, SHE IS NOT A FOREIGNER. If you have such a criteria, and aren't Native American, then YOU are a foreigner, too.

I truly am deeply insulted by such a slur. Not sure what generation American I am, but I AM AN AMERICAN. I even have some Native American, oh my, that makes me even better, DOESN'T IT. My heritage doesn't stem from "Eastern Block" countries, either, before you begin making another asinine assumption.

With such a subliminal telling of your attitude towards people who, evidently, are other than your heritage, sure does make me wonder what else about "reality" your attitudes color, Cheryl.

I cannot escape from the irony of this being EXACTLY the attitude I'd expect a ***bully***, themselves, to have.
