Complaint Review: Aura Smile Dental

Aura Smile Dental Dr. Baslois (Bill) Costaras Aura Smile Dental Liable for Dr. Bill Costaras Dental Malpractice? North Olmstead Ohio

Aura Smile Dental of North Olmsted, Ohio employs dentists on its staff (Dr. Baslois [Bill] Costaras) who have been involved in litigation over 100 times -- in only a single court in a single state -- mainly for failure to pay his lawfu debts and for dental malpractice. Enter 'Costaras' in 'Civil Search by Name' box at cpdocket.cp.cuyahogacounty.us

At least a half-dozen of these lawsuits involve Dr. Bill Costaras being sued by patients for dental malpractice. The Ohio Dental Board also has several times found Dr. Costaras guilty of "substandard care and incompetent treatment to patients" and suspended his dental license for two years. Dr. Costars also has been sued by state and the federal government for non-payment of back taxes.

Does not Aura Smiles Dental's employment of Dr. Costaras to treat its dental patients, with his extensive record of litigation and dental malpractice lawsuits, constitute negligent employment and/or dental malpractice, making Aura Smile Dental liable to patients for dental malpractice?

I am curious how you know that his license was suspended.  I cannot find it.  This guy and Aura dental never told me this guy was out of network first of all then he did two crowns on me which were supposed to be done in house.  He sent them out, i had a temp crown on for 6-7 weeks.  then we got the final one.  I told him it hurt every time I chewed and he said it was high.  I gave him the benefit of the doubt and we did another one.  Two crowns he did, both hurt like crazy. they still do right now. I cannot eat anything hard.  its awful.  So he said well you need to go to an endodontist and have him give you a root canal.  I said you gotta be kidding me. he says he does not do root canals.

I never went to the other guy due to otravel, work and I wanted a dentist that did it all.  thats what I was sold, but that was not the case.  I was never told he was out of network.  Dr. Costaras then left Aura Dental and I received a $1500 bill for services that I had already paid in my deductibles but then we not covered.  On top of that both crowns need root canals which should have been done in the first place.  I receieved a bill from Aura Dental last month and I started digging into this shady place.  Lo and behold I find all this.  My broken/cracked molars were in better then I have been for the past two years.

Aura Dental had to have known about his dozens of malpractice cases so they are liable as well.
