We submitted online documentation to qualify for a loan from Hawaii to purchase a home in Florida.  In order to qualify for a mortgage loan you have to submit two years of tax returns and up to two months of current paystubs which we did.  We admit there are alot of reading to do and read every document we signed but did not notice a document that changed our monthly and annual income.  These documents were pushed through and we were told the interest rate is high until we sell our Hawaii home and make this vacation home our permanent residence.

When we arrived in Florida we did not receive any of the signed documents we faxed from Hawaii, so we contacted the realtor we were dealing with who refused to come to our new home.  We asked him if he could mail or email us our paperwork and he decided to email us our paperwork.  We called Aurora right after our home was sold in Hawaii, thinking this realtor was truthful.  Aurora said this is not there policy and in order for us to refinance with them we would need to pay one year straight and then they would refinance our mortgage loan at the end of the paid year.  While paying this high mortgage it took us time but we started to read this small print emailed documentation to find our income was drastically changed.  We now realize in order for this mortgage deal to go through we had to show a large amount of income coming in.  Upon notifying the Aurora fraud department of our findings, they told us we would need to contact an attorney.  (What is a fraud department for?) I asked Aurora to send me all documents submitted by this realtor and they said to send in a letter requesting my documents.  We never received these documents and our request to modify our loan was rejected for times.  While we are seeking legal council we had to go chapter 13.
