My husband and I were in the real estate business when we first bought our house. We figured things shouldn't be that bad in the coming years. We were wrong.

After the market change, we had income but not enough and we were leaving out of our savings, trying to survive. We got to the point we knew we couldn't make our mortgage payment anymore, but we were not late on our payment yet. We contacted Aurora and send all of our paperwork in.

After a couple of months and several calls, we received a notice we didn't qualify. We new we couldn't last long and we were late on our first payments. This was December of last year we send again all of our paperwork in, the received before Christmas, we called and called, finally on February they told us they had lost our paperwork and we need it to send it again. We did. We received a notice of default shortly after too.

It has been a frustrating ride with this company; they send us another letter stating we may qualify for the Obama Home Affordability Program, so we were exited. They put us in a 3 month trial period with a modify payment. They couldn't make a decision or so they said during that time so they called us and asked us to make a 4th payment, so we did. Only to find out 3 days after they received the payment that some how we didn't qualify for this program.

Their excuse loan to value, we owe too much and the house is not worth it??? Isn't that what the Obama plan is all about, helping people like us, like everybody else??? So the bastards not only got money from me but money from the government and they still didn't help.

We are in active foreclosure our date has been stop due to the re-payment plan we were in. But now they are telling me they won't accept anymore of my payments and asking me to wait another 90 days because they have "another" modification program I may qualify for. I have a feeling they want my house, they are insured against any loss, they don't care, they will deny me again and sell my house shortly after.

After searching on the internet and reading all the situations people is going thru with this company, I know now that we just wasted our money and time. I just hope somebody does something about this, all of us are working families, we are not asking them for much, we are just asking for a little help to be able to afford our payments, we are not asking for them to "forgive the balance", we want to stay in our homes and we will be able to do it if they were to cooperate.
