I am searching for information regarding this loan company my dad hooked up with a year ago! I came across this website, read some of the stories and wanted to share ours. We live in Hawaii and my dad thought he was getting a good deal until a few months ago when this company went crazy on him. Back in June he noticed that he had 'extra' money in his bank account so when he went to the bank to find out why the branch manager told him that THREE months worth of payments were wired back to his account from Aurora Loans through Chase Manhattan Bank and there was no explanation given of why. My father then contacted the company and was told that his house was in foreclosure! When my father began to question them about the details and showing proof of all his payments they said that he didn't pay for the months of March, April & May which was the payments that was sent back to his account. On top of that they accrued outrageous amounts of late fees & interest. He was told to resend the money along with the monies due for the late fees and such. In fear of losing his home in which he inherited he paid over $14,000.00. To his surprise they returned the money stating foreclosure, they will not accept any payments and his late fees are piling up faster than the bills. We're totally stuck, no one at that office will speak to us let alone send any type of correspondence stating that they have started foreclosure and my dad is seeing his doctor regard his blood pressure due to the stress this is causing! I have filed a complaint with the FTC and BBB as well as sought a lawyer for this mess. My suggestion if it's too good to be true it probably IS!!!

They did the same thing to me. They wouldn't take my payments and the interest and penalties have accrued. The only way they would accept payment is if I paid them the interest that have accrued. They went ahead and foreclosed my home. Furthermore, talking to the reps are like talking to a bunch of individuals who doesn't have an idea of why they have called you in the first place. I honestly feel they prey on people. As a result, I lost my home and I have seeked a lawyer. With these many complaints about Aurora, I am astounded that no class action lawsuit has been filed. I see the same complaints. They force these interest and penalties and if you don't pay, they take your home.

Is there a way to compile all these complaints and file a class action lawsuit? What does it take. More and more people are losing their homes due to companies like Aurora who seeks only to gain more money from people who are already striving to keep their homes.
